Gravita India Limited - Chittoor

Established in 2016, Gravita’s Chittoor unit is located just 65km from the holy city of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. With its integrated recycling facilities, this unit has the capabilities to produce refined lead, customised lead alloys and plastic granules that meet stringent specifications of OEMs globally, meeting requirements of both overseas and Indian customers.

It currently supplies custom lead alloys and refined lead to major Indian lead acid battery OEMs and Southeast Asian markets. With a recycling capacity of close to 70,640 MTPA, the Chittoor unit leads in sustainable recycling practices.

The plant is also registered and empanelled on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) for its pure lead (99.98% purity) production.
